5th Officer Down Memorial Ride

Cologne, Germany · April 25, 2026

On April 25, 2026, the 5th European Officer Down Memorial Ride took place in the city of Cologne, organized and hosted by Blue Knights Chapter Germany V.

235 registered participants from all over Germany and Western Europe, together with additional riders, formed a procession of nearly 300 motorcycles. Blue Knights, Red Knights, Green Knights, "Bikers in der Bundespolizei" (the Federal Police LEMC), I.P.A. Riders, and others filled the streets and the large square in front of the cathedral.

The event's patron was the Minister of the Interior of North Rhine-Westphalia. The opening addresses were given by the Deputy Mayor of the City of Cologne and by Monsignor Robert Kleine, Provost of Cologne Cathedral.

After the mass, the procession covered about 4 km through downtown to police headquarters, where the state's highest-ranking police officer and the Cologne chief of police welcomed the participants.

Almost all participants who stayed in Cologne for the entire weekend were accommodated at the same hotel, which was kindly organized by European Conference Secretary Corinna (Germany XLII). This allowed us to meet old and new friends, share meals together, and spend a wonderful time in Cologne.

We are now looking forward to finding out which chapter will host and organize the ride in 2028.
